BCU Discover (Previously known as BCU 1*) – One day beginners course
Saturday 15th June 2019 – Iford Bridge Christchurch – £35 (+ optional course certificate £7)
Beginners kayaking course. Learn basic paddle and rescue techniques in our one day training course. Once you have completed this training you will be able to join our Thursday evening club paddles.
This training runs from Iford bridge in Christchurch.
To book onto this training, you will need to firstly sign up as a Southbourne Canoe Club member, once you have paid your membership fee, you will see the course appear for you to book onto.
BCU – Explore (Previously known as BCU 2*)
Learn more advanced paddle and rescue techniques in this one day course for people who have previously completed the BCU 1* or BCU Discover Course.
The course will involve theory, boat control, safety and rescue and will involve towards the end of the course getting wet.
Next date Saturday 22nd June 2019 – Course fee £40 + optional certificate fee.

Southbourne Canoe Club Leadership Courses
The leadership Skills courses consist of 2 categories, Land Based Leader and Christchurch River and Harbour Leader.

Land Based Leader – Date TBA
Christchurch River and Harbour Leader – Date TBA, 9.00am – 4.00pm approx.
Both courses will be run from Hengistbury Head Outdoor Centre
