Southbourne Canoe Club will be providing Perimeter Security again this year for Netley Marsh and are looking for Volunteers to help out on the Saturday and Sunday.
What does this involve?
Helping from a few hours to all day between 08:30 to 17:00 either days or both, you will be asked to walk the perimeter looking out for anyone trying to get into the Fair without paying. If you see anything suspicious all you have to do is contact the Security hut using a radio and they will deal with any problem. Teams of helpers will swap around so you get plenty of time to take a rest.
What do you and SCC get from this?
You get free entry to the Fair for you and your family so when you’re not actively helping you can enjoy the fair and exhibits. Normally you can camp but Netley Marsh will need to know to allocate space. SCC usually receive a donation from Netley Marsh which is used to help fund equipment .
On the Day Please Report to the Security Hut via the Exhibitors entrance (not the visitors entrance). Declare that you are from Southbourne Canoe Club for Perimeter Security and they will contact the SCC nominated site person.
