We are happy to take on on new members who have already taken a British Canoeing Discover Course (Previously known as BCU 1*) or who are already paddling to this standard.
If you have not taken this course already, you will need to complete this either with us, (see our training page) or with another provider.

Temporary Membership – See Taster Sessions
Taster Sessions are available on a limited number of selected days during our main paddle season which will be advertised on our website in advance.
Whenever we are running taster sessions, you are very welcome to come along and have a try to see if kayaking is for you.
You will need to print off one of our temporary membership forms, fill it out and bring it with you for your taster session. There will be a £10 fee towards your equipment hire and any tuition. You can take advantage of this offer only once.
After your hopefully enjoyable session you will need to take out annual club membership to be able to paddle with us again.
As part of our membership process you will be required to agree to a Declaration and Consent statement that cover both parties. If you feel you are unable to agree to these or to give consent to images of yourself, your child/ren or those for whom you are Carer being used for Club publicity including the website, please ask to speak in strictest confidence to our Club Welfare Officer, by Contacting Us in the first instance.
