Southbourne Canoe Club was formed in 1984.
Originally based in the local pubs of Southbourne & Christchurch until 1995, then until 2009 it was based at Christchurch Rowing Club.
In 2010 it located to Hengistbury Head Outdoor Education Centre in Southbourne.
