I would just like to start by apologising for the delay in this post however, it is here now!
The much anticipated Whitewater Trips will start to commence soon!
A selection of dates were originally picked, but a shortlist has been compiled and they are as follows:
Saturday 10th December 2016
Saturday 28th January 2017
Saturday 18th February 2017
It has been decided that we will most likely be paddling the river Dart and more specifically the Lower Dart and the Loop (Depending on water levels, other conditions and ability of the group attending). For these trips, you should be a 2* and above standard paddler
If you would like to paddle other rivers, please do let us know and we can try to accommodate for those wanting to do so!
Please note that these dates are subject to coach availability, weather conditions and water levels.
First come first served basis, so get in quick before spaces fill up!
KIT YOU WILL NEED:
We cannot put enough emphasis on the appropriate kit for these types of trips.
Kit you will need includes – Kag or Dry Suit, Helmet, appropriate footwear, warm clothing, buoyancy aid, spraydeck, boat, paddle and any other whitewater equipment you may have. Most importantly, LUNCH & WARM DRINKS!
See you on the water!December 3, 2016 at 10:36 am #467
I’m unable to make the 10th December or the 28th January trips, but should be ok for 18th February (assuming we have some water).
Please keep me updated if dates change due to weather etc.
Sundays are much better for me that Saturdays.December 3, 2016 at 8:48 pm #470evdotcomParticipant
I’m good with all of those dates, count me in please.

Had a brilliant day today on the Dart Loop. Evan and I couldn’t of had it better, an instructor each! Learning moves and having a great paddle with one to one tuition all the way.
Thank you Pete, Jerry and Jake for organising it. Looking forward to to the next trip.

Hi Jake- id like to go on the 28th Jan – cheers JohnJanuary 24, 2017 at 6:10 pm #507
Unfortunately, due to a lack of water in the Dart river, the 28th January trip has been cancelled.
Alternatively, if anyone is interested in paddling at Iford Weir for an hour or so this weekend, let me know and I’m sure we can arrange a peer paddle!

Boat is all re-padded out now so will be ok for the 18th Feb dart trip 🙂February 17, 2017 at 12:38 am #525
Unfortunately, due to a lack of rainfall the 18th Feb 2017 Dart trip has been cancelled.
On the plus side, if anyone is still wanting to paddle, I will be heading down to Iford Weir! If you are interested, please do contact me, but please note this will be a peer paddle.
Peter has suggested that a potential rescheduled date for a Dart trip could be next weekend (25th Feb 2017) however, this will depend on coach availability and rainfall.
Once again, I apologise for the letdown.
See you on the water soon (hopefully)!

Sadly the rain forecast for the next 7 days is poor, fingers crossed and some rain dancing is needed. If it works then count me in 🙂February 24, 2017 at 1:59 pm #530Richard KitchenerKeymaster
Looks like Chas’s rain dancing might pay off late tomorrow. If the trip goes ahead on Sunday Toby would like to paddle. (He can’t do the Saturday) I will have to be taxi as still in plaster.
