Hi Guys
I will be organizing a camping weekend near Symonds Yat on the river Wye on 14-16 Sept.
There will be a river paddle on the Saturday with a shuttle for the boats and a basic intro to white water paddling on the easy Symonds Yat rapid on Sunday.
Those not wanting to try white water will have the option of another river paddle on the Sunday.
If you want to do the rapids a helmet is mandatory.
Camping will be at Bracelands campsite in the Forest of Dean, run by ” camping in the forest” about 4 mile before Symonds Yat staying on the Friday and Saturday night. They can be contacted on 024 7642 3008. I believe they also take online bookings. There are also several B&B’s in the area.
I will book a pub for a meal on the Saturday evening but will need to know a week before hand if you wish to partake, they book up very quickly as we discovered last year.
I will try to assist with transporting boats but as usual space is very limited.
For more info I can be contacted on the forum or evdotcom@hotmail.com
Cheers
Evan
Many thanks to Evan for organising another great weekend, pub and the weather too.
Well done to the starter white water paddlers on Sunday, hopefully you’ve all got the bug and will be back for more and no swimmers amongst you either.
All the best
Chas
