There will be a club paddle on Sun 27 Aug from Swanwick to Curbridge on the river Hamble.
Meeting 12:45 at Swanwick, stopping for lunch at the Horse and Jockey pub in Curbridge which does good food and is kayaker friendly, (alternatively you may bring a packed lunch to eat on the river bank), no prizes for guessing what i’ll be doing.
I expect to be on water by 13:30 and off water about17:00.
Once again this is most suited to sea and touring kayaks and please be aware the first and last part of the trip is through a very busy marina.
Where possible i will try to help with transport of boat for those that don’t have the means.
The meeting place is the hardstand parking on Swanwick shore road. Turn off the M27at J8 take A3024 south a short distance then onto A27.
After crossing the river Hamble on a large bridge take the 1st right, this is Swanick Shore road.
If the parking is full you can drop the boat off and cross back over the river and park in Bursledon train station car park, which last year was still free, about a 5 minute walk.
If the weather looks dodgy please check the forum before travelling this trip is weather dependent.
I’d like to go!
Thats ok do you want me to reserve a space on my roof for a kayak for you.
Weather reports for weekend are good, so its a go!
The club is a lot of fun.
