Due to many requests, we are running another 1 day beginners kayaking “Discover” course on Saturday 25th September. This will be our final training session until next Spring. Please go to our “training” section under “events” for further details and to book your place.
Beginners “Discover” Kayaking Training 4th September
We are pleased to announce that we have arranged a new date for our popular beginners “Discover” kayaking course. This training will take place on 4th September 2021 and is open to everyone who has signed up as a Southbourne Canoe Club member. Due to the lateness in the season, we are offering a reduced club membership rate of £20 to anyone wishing to attend this training. If you wish to sign up for this course, please go to our membership section to sign up as a club member with the Special September training rate membership, then the course will appear in the training section in our payment module for you to then book and pay onto.
Places still available on the 1 day beginners kayaking course on 10th July, which will now run from Hengistbury Head Outdoor centre slipway. Please see our training page for further information.
Following high demand for our 1 day BCU Discover Kayaking Course on 12th June, we have added a further date of 10th July for the same course. Please see the training page on our website for details and how to book a place. Update 29th June we are pleased to announce that this course will now run from the slipway at Hengistbury Head Outdoor centre, as we are now able to return to this site as our permanent club base.
We are very pleased to announce that our weekly Thursday evening paddles will commence from 6th May 2021. Please note our new temporary location of the DDCU (aka Sea cadets) near Tuckton, BH6 5NF, following the closure of HHC. Please be aware there are no changing rooms or toilet facilities on this site. The club is very grateful to the DDCU for allowing us to share this facility.
In addition to the regular Thursday evening paddles, the club offers more experienced members the chance to enjoy many organised trips and other events together.
Dates and details of paddle trips will be confirmed closer to the date due to weather change at last minute.
