The long-awaited Whitewater trips!
The dates are as follows;
Sunday 12th November 2017
Sunday 28th January 2018
Other dates are in the works at the moment as some clash with the pool sessions and with coach availability, so we are trying to find a solution to that.
As river levels are constantly changing, we will be making the decisions on which rivers to run nearer the time.
If you are interested in participating in either of these dates, please list your interest in the comments section below.
Please note that you will need to bring appropriate whitewater kit, including the most important bit – Food and Drink. It can get very cold during the winter months!
I have also been in contact with the Nene Whitewater centre and they are more than happy to see us again! Let me know within the next two weeks of your interest, as I am proposing this to be on 12th November. If there is not sufficient interest, we can head for the rivers!
Cheers and keep an eye out for further info,

Thanks for your replies 🙂
Just to give everyone an update on trips;
We have added the 2nd December 2017 to the trip dates. Again, we will be confirming what river we run, closer to the date.
Keep an eye out as the Nene trip is currently being finalised. If you are interested in participating in this trip, it’s not too late to do so! Please comment on this thread and we can add you to the list 🙂

Hope you are all looking forward to the first of the Whitewater trips happening next weekend!
If anyone is travelling from the Charminster vicinity (or passing) and can spare a space in their vehicle (and potentially the kit too), then we have a member from Ringwood Canoe Club who wishes to join!
If you are able to cater for either, please do get in contact with me as this would be a huge help!
Cheers and see you all soon,

Hi Jacob – where are we going for this coming Sunday ? is it the Nene or the West Country.November 8, 2017 at 9:22 am #732
Myself, David and Sheila will be travelling up with Richard K on Sunday to the Nene Whitewater Centre.
The centre has been booked for 2 hours from 15:30.November 8, 2017 at 9:53 am #733
Hi Ken – many thanks, I will be there.
If anyone else is interested I have space in my car/roof for two others.November 17, 2017 at 6:50 am #744
I hope you have all recovered from the Nene!
The next whitewater trip will be on Saturday 2nd December and we will be heading down to the Dart area.
We are either going to be paddling the Lower or the Loop, depending on water levels and experience of those attending.
The Lower Dart is ideal for those who are new to Whitewater and want to grasp the basics (Grade 2) and the Loop is slightly more advanced and for those of you who want to develop your Whitewater foundations further (Grade 3).
If you would like to come along, please post your name below in this thread.
I have the following down as coming – Chas, Richard, Toby, Ken, Jacob & Martin.
Hope to see you on the water soon,

Hi Jacob – thanks for organising this, as mentioned at the Nene I will be in the West Country all weekend from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon, so will meet you on your arrival on Saturday. Just let me know what location. This does mean I’ll not be able to help with transport down west and back.
