Welcome
Southbourne Canoe Club is a small and family friendly canoe and kayak club based on the south coast of England in Bournemouth. We are located at Hengistbury Head Outdoor Education Centre which has waterside access to Christchurch Harbour. We are able to provide all the equipment, training and facilities needed to safely enjoy many different disciplines of canoe and kayaking. For more experienced paddlers the club offers the chance to catch up with others and enjoy the many organised trips.

We meet every Thursday evening from May to August at the Hengistbury Head Outdoor Education Centre for the majority of our training sessions and social relaxed paddles around the Harbour and rivers Stour and Avon.

Almost half way through the summer season and now 2 courses of paddlesport and BCU 1* have been completed. Well done to all that have undertaken and passed!!
Please take a look at the trips & events list as we still have lots of trips coming up for paddlers of all abilities including any non paddling family and friends that may wish to come along for a day out.

After a very successful 'Open Day' last weekend, this year's courses are filling up very quickly! For more information about each course go to our Training Info & Costs page. We look forward to seeing all the new (and old) faces on the water very soon.

Our 10 brand new sea kayaks have arrived and will be ready to use when the season begins!! The first trip of the season is a relaxed sea paddle from Swanage to Kimmeridge with an overnight stay along the way. If you are interested please log your interest here.
